How to calculate the size of plastic bags lined with cartons or product boxes?
To get plastic bags to wrap your products optimally and save money, please refer to the calculation method below.
To line the plastic packaging inside the carton, and carton box to achieve the highest aesthetic, we can use 2 types of bags: flat bags and hip bags.
Flat bag calculation formula
Round container
Round container sizes for flat bags can be found using the Circumference(C), Diameter(D), and Height(H) of the container. Example: Let’s assume the container Height(H) is 64cm and the Diameter(D) is 30cm.
Step 1:
Circumference(C)= Diameter(D) x 3.14
30 (D) x 3,14 = 94cm(C)
Step 2:
The width of the Bag is found by Dividing 37″(C) by 2 and adding 1″ for a looser fit.
94cm/ 2 = 47cm + 3cm= 50cm
Step 3:
Length of Bag= Height(H) + Diameter(D) + 12-13cm for overhang.
(H) 64cm+ (D) 30cm + 13cm= 107cm
The bag Size Needed is 50cm x 107cm
Square container
Square container sizes for flat bags can be found using Width(W), Depth(D), and Height(H). Depth is considered the shorter of the 2 sides.
TO FIND THE BAG SIZE FOR A SQUARE CONTAINER, FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW:
Step 1:
Width of Bag Needed: Width(W) + Depth(D) + 5cn for a looser fit.
Step 2:
Length of Bag Needed: Height(H) + 1/2 of Depth(D) + 12-13cm for overhang.
If container size is 36cm (W) x 25cm (D) x 81cm(H), the formula would be:
Step 1:
36cm (W) + 25cm (D) + 5cm= 66cm Wide
Step 2:
81cm (H) + 12.5cm (1/2 của (D)) + 13cm= 107cm Long
Bag size needed is 66cm x 107cm
The formula for calculating the hip bag
Gusseted Pallet Covers
In order to determine the bag size needed, one must measure the width(W), Depth(D), and Length(L).
Step 1:
Width(W) of the Cover = Width(W) of the pallet + 3cm-5cm.
Step 2:
Depth(D) of the Cover = Depth(D) of the pallet + 3cm-5cm
Step 3:
Length(L) of the Cover = Height(H) of the pallet + 1/2 the Depth(D)
If pallet size is 102cm(W) x 91cm (D) x 127cm(H),
cover dimensions are 107cm x 96cm x 173cm
Gusseted Box Liners
Sizes for Box Liners can be found using Width(W), Depth(D), and Height(H). The following steps allow you to determine the correct size.
Step 1:
Width(W) of the bag = Width(W) of the Box + 2cm-3cm.
Step 2:
Depth(D) of the bag = Depth(D) of the Box + 2cm-3cm.
Step 3:
Length(L) of the bag = Height(H) of the Box + Depth(D) of the Box + 15cm to cover contents.
If the Box size is 46cm (W) x 30cm (D) x 36cm(H), then the bag dimensions needed are:
49cm (Rộng) x 33cm (D) x 81cm (L).
